Women are not given informed consent.
Many of the medical procedures women are pressured to undergo have not been subjected to scientific study, or validation of any kind, prior to worldwide implimentation. Subsequent research has proven that they do not work as promised. Informed consent statements and medical best practices have not been updated to reflect this fact. Apart from the well known harms and lack of benefit from pelvic exams, cervical cancer screening is the second most egregious example.
